Some of the days in November
carry the whole memory
of summer as a fire opal carries
the color of moonrise.

So to give Thanksgiving the honor I feel the holiday deserves...I have decided to write everyday and share a bit of this and that and the other thing featuring the merriment of crafty preparations for our upcoming feast. I LOVE THANKSGIVING...I love every menu planning, shopping list making, best price per pound turkey searching, table cloth ironing, napkin folding, cookbook reading, gravy boat sailing, football throwing, parade watching, family nurturing second of it. Amen.
So here is crafty, merriment idea #27 ~
Paint your pumpkins brown...instant mid~Autumn~ness!
It feels Thanksgiving~y doesn't it?
So before we go over the river and through the woods...I have a full can of brown spray paint and and a whole heap of Thanksgiving decorating attitude to spread 'round these parts. So watch out mini pumpkins and acorn squash....I'm feeling crafty.
And the countdown continues...until then...

Romana I am glad we are moving on to Thanksgiving! I enjoyed Halloween but I am tired of it now. I am Hallowed out!!!!! And so, onward for the count of Thanksgiving. And I just want to revel in the color & beauty of Fall. Glad we are on the same page
Yea! I can't wait!!
Congrats, Ramona! You won "Blog of the Month" over at Hooked on Houses. I drew your name from the list of participants in my Hooked on House Tours blog party.
This means that your blog has a spot in my sidebar for the month of November. I put a quick one together to link to you for the time being, but if you have one that you want me to use, just e-mail it to me. (It has to be 125 x 125 to fit.) If you have any questions, let me know.
Thanks!! -Julia
P.S. I was looking at your blog with my daughter Lily today and she was admiring your brown pumpkin. Now she wants to spray-paint some of ours that color! :-)
Oops. I meant to say I put together a quick BLOG BUTTON for you and put it in my sidebar, but if you have one you want me to use instead, e-mail it to me. Did that make more sense? :-)
Thanksgiving is certainly my favorite holiday and I look forward to your daily posts to inspire me. Now I am off to re-do my potpourri.
Thanks
Janet
