The Peony Waits For No Man!

Being raised in San Diego and the daughter of an Oceanographer....we spent a lot of time going the the tide pools at the beach. As my Father would try and hurry 3 pokey girls and our Mom out the door...my Dad would sing..."The tide waits for no man!!!"...Ahhh, great childhood memories. I could hear my Dad's voice in my head earlier today as I noticed that the first peony on the little bush was blooming..."The peonies wait for no man!" They bloom for a very short and wonderful moment during mid spring and they ain't waiting for no man, no way, no how.

So glad that I didn't make
these beauties wait.
And now...I thought I would play with my camera and expand my blogging experience...so here is short and sweet peek at the garden outside my front door...
And more garden strolling...

I hope that you are having a wonderful June day...I love this time of year and I hope you do too.

Hi Ramona,

I LOVE both of your videos of the front and back of your home. It was so neat to hear your voice!! What beautiful plants and flowers. We definitely LOVE June around here. Guess why....because it is my birthday month...WOOHOO!

1-2-3 sounds good to me! More the better most of the time when I'm planting.

I really enjoyed your video. It's quite impressive that you can figure out how to do that!!

Ramona... you are soooo fortunate to be able to grow your own Peonies... I just had some shipped to me... (as I try to do each June), for $75... 1-dozen... and they will be more than worth it over the next two weeks while I watch them open... my office (where they are on my credenza) already smells like Peonies... when they start to open... I'll move them throughout the house until the fragrance is from one end to the other... and then... it will be gone before June is gone... and I'll have to wait another year... I'll be posting photos soon... but I got to enjoy yours... today!

blessings. Dixie

Hi there,
Do you remember me asking you about a year ago where you got your beautiful Santos Figurine? You were so kind to tell me that you got it from Ballards. I saw your name while wandering around tonight and had to invite you to join in on my 100th-post giveaway as a way to say thank you.
You'll get to see where I displayed my beautiful lady as soon as you open my page. She's in my Header. : )
