I felt it coming on the other day...even though it was a hot and humid summer afternoon...yep, I felt it coming on big~time! What?...you ask....well, that nesting feeling you get when fall grows closer and you begin to stare longingly at your sweaters and your drawer of socks and you feel the need to make soup....and you get that little {yippee} in your heart and you know that your favorite season is just around the bend.
I heart fall. It is my favorite time of year....and I just felt like putting our garden rest for the season, tucking in the flannel sheets on the beds and buying a gourd or two...why...because I heart fall. We also had an extreme weather change here in the ol' Pacific Northwest....we went from over 100 degrees to 68 degrees....so what is a gal to do? Make soup of course...AND let you sneak a peek at some harvest decorating that is coming to town sooner than you may realize. I can hardly wait for the bins in front of the corner grocer to be filled to overflowing with pumpkins....oh yeah baby!

Hi, I hopped over here from another blog and oh yeah, I am starting to put my Fall stuff out too. I also just LOVE Fall!! Love your peek at your items.
Well, after being "stuck" here on your blog reading all back through your posts....I ABSOLUTELY LOVE it!! I have to add you to my favorites!! I am so glad I discovered you!! I just LOVE all your roosters and truly everything about your blog and your style!!
I guess I didn't really realize, but you're right...fall is right around the corner!
oh my gosh Ramona!
hello hello. It's so nice to hear from you...
and there is that old punkin girl I made a lifetime ago from bits of old ticking....I remember very well the afternoon of sewing her, the wind was blowing yellow leaves like a snow storm outside my little dolly house window.
oh, what a fun sight!
Your home is just wonderful, lots of fun and inspiring touches.
it's so nice to hear from you.
As soon as we're finished with harvest I'll be working on my blogs more with stories and dollies.
have a wonderful day and thank you so much for coming to call on me.
Next time we shall have tea down in the orchard when you come to call.
Christine

I'm loving the white pumpkins, too, come see my post from today, you'll see! lol
Love your pumpkin head doll! And your pincones reminded me of the acorns and chestnuts I picked up in my driveway today...I put them in a home made bowl that my older ds made in school years ago...
Your blog is so fun...but it has me wanting to start collect ROOSTERS, lol ;)

You've captured how I feel about Fall perfectly! :)
I love your pinecone basket - once the leaves start changing, I like to cut small branches of leaves and put them in vases around the house. I love the natural look! What a great post. :)
