Oh let me live in the moment...the wonderful, delicious, sun~loving,
summer~time moment of it all.
All last week I felt the "fall bug"...you know that feeling...the weather turns cool after a hot spell...you need a sweater in the morning hours, you think that you might make soup for dinner, and a nice pair of wool socks replace your ever~loving sandals...it may be early August, but I found myself wanting to put the flannel sheets on the ol' bed~ola!
But then...I thought...I am wasting these precious summer~time moments by not fully living in them! I need to remember that this life and the time with the family is not a rehearsal...and this is it...be in the moment...live in it...every fun, sad, painful, joyful, frustrating, glorious, precious moment of it.
And...so I did!
I also thought I would play around with some summer decor put~zing...how is that for living in the moment? I even noticed a bouquet of straw high on a shelf in the closet while looking for my Uggs and instead put out a fresh cut vase of hydrangeas...IT IS AUGUST...NOT OCTOBER...silly me!

I put these hydrangeas in this vase four days ago...they stay so fresh...
I love how relaxed I feel in this room...And, I am here to tell you that this 98 inch couch is the best napping place on the planet...
A new gathering for my old cloche...I love how the moss leaks out the side...
I have had this rusty old can of "the perfect yellow" paint for 12 years...
I painted and stained this old school house chair...
And distressed the who~ha out of it...
The most important reason to live in the moment...
They grow so fast...
Find your summer~time moment...and live in it....live in it well!~Smiles ~

Oh Ramona this is such a great post!!!! It is true that we ALWAYS must live in the moment and quit wishing for something else. Though, I HAVE to tell you during our yard sale this morning in high 90 degree weather I was SURE wishing there was ANY sign of fall in the air....hahahaha.
I just LOVE all your beautiful vignettes and pictures. The chair and pillows are beautiful!!! Your living room looks sooooooo cozy and inviting. I am still figuring out a way to get a chance to come and visit!!!!!♥ Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

What a sweet post Ramona. I have to remind myself to live in the moment towards the end of every season. It's too easy to start looking forward instead of remembering to treasure each moment.
Your putzing came out just right as always. I've been in the mood to putz too. I think that's on the schedule in the next few days. I'm thinking about moving accessories around in the house. Woo hoo! I just love to play house.
Aww...Ramona, I loved this post! You're so right. Life is fleeting and we must live for the moment. I love all of your poodleling around! Everything is so pretty. Fall will be here before you know it and then you can pull out the pumpkins! :)
